New Vision Christian Fellowship hosts and facilitates inner city urban mission trips for churches, schools, universities, businesses, and organizations. Our mission teams and interns come from across the United States and around Southern California to expand the urban ministries and outreach of New Vision Christian Fellowship in our community. The experience, which we tailor specifically to each group, equips and empowers participants to use the methods of credible, service-based outreach we employ here in inner-city San Diego.
Participants have opportunities to engage homeless, impoverished, and marginalized people across a diverse cross-cultural setting. Service projects, ministry in low-income downtown hotels and inner city apartment complexes, street outreach to the homeless, a food distribution program that feeds thousands of people every month, recovery programs, outreach festivals, events for the disabled, and children's ministries are some of the ways a mission team can serve here. New Vision Christian Fellowship has portal ministries that work with "at-risk" youth in the public schools and have established partnerships between almost 70 public schools and churches in San Diego county.
We are the church that hosts urban missions trips. It is part of New Vision's DNA to share this experience with students, families, and adults. New Vision is a multi-ethnic, cross-socioeconmic congregation where the 99-percent and the 1-percent can serve and worship together. We are Kingdom-minded and challenge mission groups from other denominations and non-denominations to employ Biblical, missional, person-to-person methods of outreach and discipleship. While our own affiliation is with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) we work in strong collaboration with a wide range of Kingdom minded church, para-church, and faith-based organizations.
